I offer counseling services for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, AuDHD (combined Autism and ADHD), anger management, anxiety, codependency, depression, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), gender identity & concerns, giftedness, identity exploration, LGBTQIA+ concerns, life coaching, life transitions, parenting, sexuality, and stress. In individual therapy, we may explore areas including values, neurodivergent traits, attachment, needs, and internal “parts” (using techniques from Internal Family Systems, or IFS).
Terminology Acknowledgement: "Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder" and "Autism" are widely-recognized terms, which is why I use them here. That said, these are both potentially damaging misnomers (ADHD perhaps moreso than Autism), as they reflect a pathologizing observer's perspective of the traits rather than the lived experience. Of particular concern is the use of the word "disorder" (as in, "attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder" and "autism spectrum disorder"). Already, many refer to Autism simply as Autism, instead of ASD. Some have already begun to treat ADHD similarly, referring to it simply as ADH. Other alternatives have been proposed (e.g., Kinetic Cognitive Style/Variable Attention Stimulus Trait, or KCS/VAST, as an alternative to ADHD), however these have yet to gain widespread awareness and acceptance.

In my core niche within couples counseling, we typically focus on areas like communication, intimacy, and reconnection. Other topics might include restoring the relationship after infidelity, or rekindling desire during parenthood. I treat the “couple” unit as my client, which means that although it may appear that I align with one partner or the other from time to time, my eye is always on the greater goal of balance and harmony within the relationship.
I offer family counseling services including parent coaching (particularly where ADHD, Autism, or other neurotypes are involved), navigating blended family dynamics, and facilitating repair and connection between parents and their adult children.
Counseling for consensually non-monogamous (CNM) couples and polycules is a lot like couples counseling, except that we hold space for the reality that the relationship exists within a constellation of other valid romantic relationships. We discuss repairing after a rupture, boundaries, trust, and supporting a sustainable relationship structure. All levels of CNM experience welcomed!
Terminology Acknowledgement: Consensual non-monogamy has also been referred to commonly as "Ethical non-monogamy" and "ENM", so I will include them here for visibility. Nevertheless, there is growing interest in referring to these lifestyle practices as simply "non-monogamy", as non-monogamy is not, by default, unethical. (Likewise, unethical monogamy is a very real phenomenon!)
On the outs with a friend, seeking mediation with a team member, or otherwise hoping to strengthen a non-familial relationship? No problem! I offer relationship counseling services for friends, colleagues, religious peers, and more. Since we do not bill through insurance, we have more flexibility about the kind of work we can do together. Inquire today to see what is possible!
Consulting services are available for businesses and corporations interested in supporting their neurodivergent employees. Drawing upon my experiences working as an engineer in a corporate environment for ten years, I offer insights into commonly missed opportunities and general awareness. I also have experience working as a teacher, sales clerk, machine operator, film assistant, renovator, and horticulturalist--each specialty being one which offered unique insights into human behavior and needs. Cancellations and re-scheduled sessions will be subject to a full charge if not received at least 48 hours in advance. This notice should be provided directly to the therapist via business email or text. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time.
I am an out-of-network provider and do not contract directly with insurance companies. Upon request, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement.
For those interested in understanding the broader impact of insurance practices on mental health care, an independent overview is available here. This resource is not affiliated with Bluebel Counseling.
The “No Surprises Act” requires healthcare providers to furnish clients with a “Good Faith Estimate” detailing expected charges. This will be provided for you via the client portal. For more information, please refer to the Standard Notice available here.

I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. In-person sessions are held in Cincinnati, OH at our Red Bank location. Telehealth clients must be in Ohio at the time of services. Note that teletherapy is dependent upon both parties being in a safe, private location with a secure and strong Internet connection. Public spaces are not appropriate for teletherapy.
Free 15-minute compatibility check available -- let's see if we're a good fit.
