Our Offices - Therapy in Cincinnati

At Bluebel Counseling, we understand that folks may appreciate knowing what to expect when they arrive for the first time. With that in mind, we’ve put together this overview. Read on to learn more about how to find us, accessibility, arriving at our suite/office, and other accommodations.

Getting There

Our in-person therapy office in Cincinnati is located at 4625 Red Bank Rd, Suite #104, Cincinnati, OH 45227. This is located on the first floor of our building, and is best accessed by parking in the “western” lot. For best success in navigating to our office for the first time, we suggest routing to the nearby Izzy’s Restaurant. (Despite our best efforts, Google Maps sometimes redirect folks to the uppermost/“northern” parking lot, which only has access to the second floor of our building.) See the image below for instructions on how to find our office from Red Bank Expy.

Accessibility

Our therapy in Cincinnati office location affords some wheelchair accessibility, however users should be aware of the limitations. Outside the building, there is graded curb access (see the image below, courtesy of Google Maps Streetview) at the right-hand side of the curb while facing the building. Please note that there are two sets of double doors to access our suite: one to enter the building, and one to enter our suite. Typically, only the right-hand door is able to be opened freely. If you will be needing to open both doors, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate. Be aware that the doors open outward, and the curb itself is not wide enough to allow a wheelchair to pass once the door is open. Aside from the curb, there are no other steps to access our suite. Inside the building is a wide hallway with access to our suite and the bathrooms. The bathrooms are located at the end of this hallway, and are (as of this writing) gendered.

The Suite

Our suite is shared by four independent mental health counselors. When you arrive, please sign in on the iPad (see the second/right-hand image below). You are then welcome to help yourself to a drink (water, tea, and coffee are available) and a snack while you wait for your appointment time. We ask that all visitors and clients be courteous of others and keep the volume to a minimum so as to not intrude on any ongoing sessions.

The Office

My office is the first door on the right-hand side once you enter the suite. If the door is closed when you arrive, I am likely in a session or completing documentation or other work. Signing in at the iPad sends me an email notification to let me know that you have arrived. I will come to greet you once it is time to begin our appointment.

Regarding access needs and sensory accommodations, I would like to do my utmost to meet these. Please let me know ahead of time what accommodations we can make to create a therapeutic environment tailored to your needs. I avoid the use of scents within the office, though there may at times be a scented candle burning in the suite. In terms of lighting, the office receives natural light via floor-to-ceiling windows, which may be supplemented either by the overhead CFL lighting or by softer accent lighting.

I have fidgets, games, and coloring materials available for clients of all ages. Please feel free to use what you see in front of you, or ask if that is easier for you. You are also welcome to bring a snack or a drink with you; the best therapy occurs in the most comfortable settings. Should you be more comfortable removing your shoes or sitting on the floor, these are also options we readily accommodate.
